Clever
I think the author did a really good job setting up an ominous mood with the stark graphics and the somber music. I really thought something bad was going to go down - it would have been par for the course to have extreme violence since this IS Newgrounds. But the twist ending was surprisingly effective. If the artist could render his drawings so they're really tight, I think this would be higher on the Daily Top 5
Effectual, definitely
The art was rather crude, but that also added to its effectivity, as did the music. The animation lacked true movement, save for the camera panning, but that's alright. The way the child was drawn also helped augment the effectivity, and the concept is a great one; my father passed away earlier this year, so it absolutely stirred me. On the whole, I'd say you did a good job.

This is a sweet concept that could be a little clearer, there is an "oh..is that it?" feeling at the end and it doesn't really have a beginning to speak of.The characters are naively but nicely drawn and the backing music sets a bitter/sweet tone...but please, for the love of everything holy...TURN DOWN THE BLEEDIN'THUNDER!
