Good cover

Great job all around man! This is a great cover in my opinion. The drums and the guitar were great in this submission. You brought in a good style in the song. I don't really understand everything about covers so I don't know if you did the drums and guitar yourself or what you do to make the submission different. :S Ha, either way the song sounded great. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the review! The difference between a cover and a remix is that in a cover everything is recorded from scrap and everything can be changed, except the structure of the chord progressions and the lyrics, while in a remix, you use samples from the originally recorded tracks to mix them together with new tracks in order to make a song. Then there is the reproduction of a song, which is if the song is played exactly like the original and the remastered versions, where the final stages of the production are repeated to take advantage of new technologies. Well, that's basically it...
What we did, was a cover, so we changed the instrumentation, sequence etc and we recorded everything ourselves. And apparently what we did was of your liking! Thanks!

impressive

has great rhythm, an amazing guitar, the voice from the intro was very nice used, the vocals were great and i liked the lyrics, but the vocals were little to quiet compared to the rest of the song at least at the beginning of it, the ending is really amazing, finishing just with the guitar was a nice effect
I never heard the original, but i'm pretty sure this one make honor to it, it was fantastic

GlueR responds:

Thanks for that! I had other people also saying that the vocals are low in the mix and I do understand this, but the higher the vocals are in the mix, the pop-ier the song. So I was trying to stay in the rock side of things, before becoming too radio friendly for my taste.

I like.

A very clean finish to a good cover. I enjoyed listening to this, it was an instrumentally strong piece of music. Vocals were good aswell. Keep up the good work.

Kind regards -

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked it! You know, we have a thing for instrumentation, so the next one (it will probably be finished during February) has a symphonic orchestra in it... Hehe...

Good cover

This acutally a pretty good cover. You managed to bring your own style into the song while at the same time keeping the feelinf of the original intact. This is a very good job you've done here. Most covers are pretty bad and slaughter the original to pieces. The more I appreciate the fact that you didn't do that. :)

Thanks for the review! You're right about that. There are a lot of bands who either reproduce the original song or mock it. We really did do this keeping in mind that we are trying to make a tribute to the original. Thanks for that!

well

Had kind of a 80's/90's mix of retro ness in it. But all in all it was still pretty good. It would go great with some flash here on newgrounds. Its a good song but I think if the music was really toned down or maybe taken off it would be great for flash here actually. I'd still keep it in the song if I was a flash maker but that's just me. Great work

GlueR responds:

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked it! Of course it has an '80s feel. It's a cover of an '79 song! So I guess you consider this as a job well done... I don't really get what you mean about toning down the music. Just keep the vocals? Or maybe remove the instrumental parts? Maybe you meant the vocal parts? I don't really get it. Nevertheless, thanks for sharing your opinion and I'd be glad if you told me exactly what you meant.
Cheers!
