Reviews for "Mud and Blood: Vietnam"

its great but...

its great but artillery and gunships and those other things SHOOT MY OWN TROOPS is it possible to aim them?

Good game

This game had style... but are they supposed to move that slow or is it just me?

Eq

Frustrating but good

While I loved the idea and the atmoshpere of the game there were flaws in the execution. For example one should be able to band select groups of men, not just the individual, the radio man should be clearer as one never knows where he is until he dies and one cannot call for support. On that note the things called in by the radio should actually arrive rather than being constantly denied. Maybe I didn't wait long enough but the game was so hard I died at the first wave. This is partly my own ineptitude but partly the control system and any lack of warning of an attack. When I was playing I spread my rifle men out on all sides while keeping the men with assault rifles to move to where they were needed. This failed as all four riflemen on the side that was attacked died in 3 seconds without ever seeing an enemy, somewhat ruining my entire defnsive strategy. This level of diificuty need to be toned down just a tad.
Overall an excellent game that needs just these things tweaked to make it playable. I look forward to seeing the sequel in the All Time Top 50!

Good

This is okay but the second one is way better, if play it make sure you play v2.2.5

Okay game. It's for the hardcore.

This game is definitely one to remember, although the graphics may seem a bit lacking in today's time. I'll still play this game occasionally, and yet, this game it tough, the enemies are a bit stronger than they should be, you are given 20 to go out and take a base from about 15 to 16 enemies, while this may seem easy at first, sending your men straight up is an immediate death sentence. Flanking and coming around the back may work, but the slowness of the soldiers make it a pain when you are caught and found, and next thing you know, BAM! You lost your flankers, or whatever it is you are doing. It took me a couple of tries to find what works, and yet sometimes THAT doesn't even work when they are caught, and I end up starting over, I've only made it past the first wave, all other times, I've been stuck generally assaulting the base and mostly losing! But it's fun, why? Because it's different, as far as I have seen, I have not seen a game like this, and it's predecessor is even better than this, heck, go play it right now! Mud and Blood 2 is set in World War 2.

Overall, this game isn't half bad, if I would have to suggest anything, make your soldiers move faster, enemies a bit weaker and easier to kill, and above all else, making a remake would be awesome! I will be waiting with alot more people for when Mud and Blood 3 comes out, and I shall play that for quite some time hopefully!
