Reviews for "Solus- Last March"

another excellently epic tunage

another tune of yours which i love :)
this is great and would work so well with a final scene for suspense
hero's have been captured and are going to their death, and then you could change to someone suddenly being heroic and huge battle ensues with fast paced music! :O

shame i cant animate lol!

SolusLunes responds:

Heh, at least you could imagine it!

Glad you liked it!

hm... Hm.... HM!?!

I remember a game I used to play back in my early years called Final Fantasy 3. This music matches it almost perfectly as I can now see myself playing the game while listening to it. It loops almost perfectly, and I can surely let you know that your effort was not wasted when spending a lot of time on the trumpet notes and the way it sounds. I can tell that you spent a good while on that instrument alone.

I'm not going to discuss the quality of samples, because I don't really care about samples or real music, or whatnot. What I care about is the score and the way things come together in music. Honestly, I haven't heard music like this in a while - so it's good that there's someone who still fights the good fight (or whatever that means.)

I hope you continue to grow in music and I do hope to hear more from you in the near future,

Bosa

SolusLunes responds:

Ah, good that you're going to ignore the quality of the samples, as it is something that has been niggling on me for a little while, as I've gotten better at composing.

(Though right now I'm currently saving up for a copy of East West. Glee. Sure I could pirate it, but that wouldn't be any different than anyone else, would it?)

The trumpet was spent about... mmm I'd say about four hours just getting the basic melody and another two tweaking it :D

I'm really glad you liked this piece, and as you and MaestroRage say, I will keep fighting the good fight.

Christ, why does everyone feel like using that phrase? :D

Omg???

I didn't knew that u was that good x] .. ehm.. this is really good ..!! did u make all it self??

5/5
Helth.

SolusLunes responds:

Yes, I did make this myself. If you think this is good, you should check out She or For Schala Remastered.

...

This is really good! Short, but that suits the song. Very good brass instrument (my sound isn't working now, but I remember it's something like a trumpet), and the rest of the song was very epic. Almost like a different style of MaestroRage, actually. The drums and the low instruments gave the image of marching to the final fight very well, and although I was surprised to hear a piano in there, it was a nice addition. I don't see why this isn't getting a great score, because it's too good for that. Keep up the good work!

SolusLunes responds:

The piano part was originally supposed to be a harp, but I couldn't get it to sound particularly good, so I cut it and subbed in a piano.

Doesn't matter, though, I only had one objective for this song: Get that orchestral one-hit low boom perfected. I think I did.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
