Reviews for "Solus- Last March"

oooh :D

I like this a lot. The parts where the strings come in remind me of some of Joe Hisaishi's work (composer for Hayao Miyazaki films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke)), especially a track from spirited away. And the melody at around 1:06 reminds me of FFX. :P Yeah, everything reminds me of something. But that's a good thing. I really really like this :o

SolusLunes responds:

Wow, being compared to Joe Hisaishi is flattering. I've always liked his stuff.

I think . . .

this song is A W E S O M E ! ! !

SolusLunes responds:

Glad you liked it! :D

Awesomesauce.

What I really love about your music, is that whenever I listen to it, I get lots of images in my head, and all these different situations in a Flash where I can use them. I never feel that way when I listen to other music, so I dunno. Well, this isn't one of my favorites, but still great!

SolusLunes responds:

If I can make the listener imagine an image or a story, I think I've done my job.

Its not you...

...its me. I'm not a huge fan of marches to begin with, but this one's actually pretty decent. To be honest though, I found that the trumpet part didn't sound that great. Its quality seemed a little...low. It does, however, loop extremely well, so congrats to you for that.

SolusLunes responds:

Yeah, true, the trumpet could be a bit better quality, but the main point of this song was for me to practice. :D

Surprising that it got frontpaged in my opinion.

what i see...

a small city forced to prepare for war because they have nowhere to run. a massive army marching towards them like a great evil machine. the scene rises from behind the city battlements where you can see soldiers and civilians alike ready to die for their home *tear as i write this* with the sun setting behind the advancing hoard.

SolusLunes responds:

Oooh, now that gives me a chill down my spine. Cool.
