Okay here we go MMD,
First off I wanted to say i am excited by how quickly this came after ur last song. Its always worth the wait, but this along is exciting
Second, im trying to turn over a new leaf which is why its taken so long for me to write this, Im trying to listen to songs a whole bunch of times before I comment my first impressions.
But now down to the meat and potatoes. I first want to comment on you singing. You sound much more confident, with no hesitation about the pretty impressive range of notes you hit on this song. That being said the voice and percussion was nicely balanced, and you did an admirable job basically carrying the song with just the voice and percussion altho the drums sounded like they were not quite synched at times. The other instruments in the back kinda of blend together to create a sort of... i dont know, but there really isnt much in the way of distinct sounds other than that voice and drums which I would have enjoyed.
So now we arrive at the vocals, and the feel of the words doesnt mesh real well with the tone of the song in my opinion. Altho the music takes on a darker feel than the beginning couple of bars the lyrics are pretty somber and sad if I've understood them correctly. But that doesnt seem to be a problem with anyone else so mayhaps im in the minority.
All in all its an enjoyable song, where much of the time the voices are background instruments, a new twist in your songs. Its not my favorite, but i have already enjoyed it several times. thanks for posting this one so soon!
