Powerful stuff...
I'd have to say that the style of your work is good. Using black and white to portray the horror was very clever. Also using the music was good, as well as having no sound. It was made more powerful because of that. And its not shit at all. You have made a very good piece. I think you should do more for future. You have lots of potential.

It gave me a slight twinge of pride. The mass annihilation of the enemy...of course, they were mostly civilians. But hey, an easy target for a big message. The gentle giant had enough. If we did continue to island hop to the the Japanese mainland it would've taken another year and many more American lives. Not to say an "American" life is any more important, but when there is a war and the agressor will not give, a bold tactic is needed. If the United States hadn't unleashed an example of the destructive power of the atomic bomb...someone else would've.
Yes, for sure, someone else would have unleashed somethign else, Russia maybe or even Japan. I guess that the atomic bomb on Hiroshima was just away of kicking the door in, and watching the whole war collapse.

A wonderful movie and a wonderful book if you have not read it. I like the way everything was drawn and colored/shaded. The music was engaging and perfect for each scene. I only wish that you used a flash drawn city of Hiroshima instead of a map. Now are we talking about the point of your flash? Well thats for your history project, but I'm guessing you are talking about what was the point of dropping the bombs.
Well there were many points and factors to be considered in how and why the bombs were dropped. To save American lives, to end the war as soon as possible, to prevent the Soviets from invading Japan and having them turn it "Red", they dropped Fat Man way too soon because of weather conditions, Truman lacking the knowledge of the superbombs, etc. What you learned in class is not always right. What your highschool teacher teaches you to be the point is not always correct.
Though, now I'm thinking you had a message to this movie. Are you saying that the dropping of the bombs should have never happened? If so, did you ever stop to think how the cold war would have went? WMD helped the Cold War, if we didn't have them, there would have been a WWIII. The atomicbombs kept the Capitalists and Communists from physically fighting except for those chess battles known as Korea and Vietnam. Meh... I think I'm rambling and trying to be a smarty pants or at least sound like one.

Hey pal, first off thanks for reviewing. I am always delighted to see people interested and enjoying this movie. Hmmm there are positives and negetives to dropping the bomb on Hiroshima. Ummm, if it never happened, yes the arms race might have been swayed and its true, Russia would have used their bomb(s). Who knows, maybe a H-Bomb would have went off on a city.. Dropping the bomb on Hiroshima was a way of ending the war, but at a great cost. You will never have a war and not casualities, thats the way war works. I think that atomic bomb should have never been invented because it brings us that much closer to total annialation. Yeah, right now we have bombs to blow the planet straight out of orbit and into pieces. Its scary, and yes your right, the atomic bomb kept the Capitalists and Communists from fighting, but it was at the expense of innocent lives. I know I have in my reviews not given straigh answers, only opinions, the reason for it. There is no right answer, what happened, just happened. We cant change it, we cant give perfect reasons, what people CAN do is learn from it and prevent it from happening agian(I'm looking at you US, United Nations and governments). Don't worry about being a smarty pants, its always fun to share ideas with people. I learned alot more from people here on Newgrounds then from the research I did.
