Reviews for "Hiroshima."

great peice

So many of these types of movies have been made about Pearl Harbor and D-Day and the like, it is refreshing to see one made about this topic however. The POV is unique and the plot is thought provoking without being inflamitory.
While I am not one of these "dont mess with Texas" war fanatics, in retrospect I do think the order to drop little boy and big boy was the right one, god only knows how many U.S. lives they saved. But what was the cost the Japan and the rest of the world? All I can say is good job, well done.
Will we be seeing a "Nagasaki" any time soon?

Hmmm...

Nice flash, really brings home what happened at Hiroshima. I'm dismayed that so many Americans posting replys here still believe that a)Bombing Hiroshima was a good thing and b)that Hiroshima was a just revenge for the attack on Pearl Harbour. If Hiroshima was a "viable" military target, then why wasn't Pearl Harbour? As for the matter of it being a "snealk attack"....wasn't it a US Marine who said that if you find yourself in a fair fight, you've done something wrong? Whatever atrocities the Kwantuang Army may have committed in China (without approval from central government), it will never justify the hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths that the US inflicted on a defeated and demoralised enemy....for no sound tactical reason. Hiroshima, and even more so Nagasaki were unnecessary examples of the darkside of the American dream...one rule for us (we can kill little babies) and one rule for them(but they cant kill our soldiers).

PauLH responds:

"Hiroshima, and even more so Nagasaki were unnecessary examples of the darkside of the American dream...one rule for us (we can kill little babies) and one rule for them(but they cant kill our soldiers)." That is an amzing point, if you think about it its right, alot of people here are American and are all for what happened, I try to respect everyones opinion, but you Wolfie666 are right. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for watching.

KABOOOM

KABOOMKABOOMKABOOMKABOOM KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! :) seriously though, that was a little weird. your handdrawn backgrounds are a lot better than that map. it just sucked. and to that guy who said enya music was badass on your vision quest piece: LOL

Moving...

I thought this movie was great. It showed the horrors of America's power, I hope something like this never happens. It may happen in Iraq...if Bush is still in office

japan...sympathy is on your shoulders!

PauLH responds:

If Iraq bombed US I bet US would bomb them right back, and Iraq would not stand for that so they would get them back, and like children they would fight untill there is no more, untill on falls. Its sad to think people still live by the saying 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth' Thanks for watching.

Hats off to you my friend.

I quite enjoyed your flash. I like the way you made it in black & white it makes its seem surreal like somekind of twisted dream. In my opinion the dropping of "Little Boy" was at best a mixed blessing. It is possible that a land war would have ment more deaths but still the deaths of thousands of people is a high price for the hope of peace.

PauLH responds:

Well said, it is a mixed blessing. I am glad you liked my movie and I too think balck and white suited it well. Thankls for watching!! ^_^
