Brilliant

I love this movie. I think it is really good. It is mostly for samurai and ninja fans though i think. For those who didn't get it, I think the point was that the greatest dishoner a samurai can have is to disobey his can and his master. He wont do it because of all the things that were said in the movie. but because he has found another way to live, meaning he wants to be a peasant or he has found a love or he wants to be a salesman. To leave the clan is to be ...dishonored. How this relates to the movie i have no fucking clue!?

Ok the samurai has a baby and it is more important to him than the clan and lord, thus he has commited the ultimate betrayal. Thus he is dishonoured. The dud he kills aint a samurai BTW.

One of the biggest influencing factors for the nine from me is that this movie managed to stand apart so much from the rest of the drivel I've been seeing. I can't give it a nice 10 as I would have liked to because the sound was lacking.

I enjoyed the blending of the sentences about the samurai but didn't understand how it fit togethor in the movie. Who was the guy who showed up at the end and took the baby? Who was the attempted asassin? who did the baby belong to? Was the baby the object of another "duty"?

ok. The assasin is not a samurai simply an assasin, though you should think the text is referring to him at the start. The dishonourable samurai is the man with the baby. The samurai is dishonourable because he has put the needs of his(?) baby before the clan and lord. The ninja is out to kill him for the betrayal on behalf of the clan/lord.

Hmmmm, I think I need to work on the clarity a bit more next time.

you gotta love the subject matter...

well.......this movie wasent exactly breathtaking
but I will say that it was worth watever effort put into it and that the animator deserves credit for the effort put into the animation. but what I will say is that it had definite style! and I really liked the quotes! aswell as how they tied into the animation.

Geat stealthy samurai action

The style was very cool. I really liked the stealthy infiltration of the grounds, it was done really well. The twist at the end was good aswell, it was a nice change from predictability.

Lone wolf and cub?

This is greatly like one wolf and cub to a bit. Other than that i really liked it. as i always say samurai=good.
