Reviews for "Serenade of Storms"

This is beautiful

I'd like to use this in an audio show I'm using. It's non-profit, and I'll credit you. I would love to have this piece in my show.

BlazingDragon responds:

Please, go right ahead. Would you send me the URL when it is finished? I would be interested in checking it out.

Thank you! :)

Beautiful

My review for this song is on your demo. I don't want to repeat myself so I guess I'll just say keep up the good work.

BlazingDragon responds:

I would agree with you that this is my best work. I put more effort into it than usual. I strive to improve with every piece in some regard.

Thank you for the review!

good song

kind of depressing for the first minute or two, then it picks up for a bit and slows down for the ending, nothing need be added to this, it's perfect the way it is

BlazingDragon responds:

I really made an effort when it came to the climax. Many of my climaxes are practically non-existent. I wanted this one to be evident. :)

Thank you for the review.

Brilliant.

Back when I was a kid, I was a complete LoZ: Ocarina of Time fanboy, and one of the reasons was the music that was featured in the game.

The way you've managed to combine two of my favorite pieces of music from that game is nothing short of masterful.

10/10, 5/5.

Now if you'll excuse me... there's an N64 that you've inspired me to play once again.

BlazingDragon responds:

LoZ: Ocarina of Time was an epic game in many regards. One distinctive aspect of the game lies in its powerful music. I love how Koji Kondo has used simplistic melodies and leitmotifs to effectively convey such a sense of beauty.

The ocarina melodies are very fun to arrange. The source material is simple enough that the ReMixer has plenty of room to include original material and manipulate melodic ideas. I have been quite liberal in my arrangement here, but the source is still there. It is a joy working with such amazing themes!

Thank you very much for your review!

You have Gone beyond those Horizons...

This is indeed...one of the most beautiful serenade pieces I have ever heard in my whole entire life. I haven't felt chills likes this in months. You are another composer who have brought me to tears (excuse me for being too emotional. Only happens when it comes to music) and have kept me listening this piece over and over again. Right now, I am even typing to the beat of the song. The pace is very and transitions of this is, how shall I say it....gorgeous. It strikes the emotions, the moods, and harnesses that inside you. Sends spine chilling tones and a strong message that is understandable only by ears.

You sir have indefinitely earned a thousand ovations, a million bravos and a the respects of many composers. I have to say, is indescribable. Your true piece of this serenade has surpassed all expectations and exceeded that of your demo.

The words that I have said aren't indeed the right words to describe this awe-inspiring piece. I have been brought to tears and been given more chills to my spine with a spark of inspiration set in mind. The words that I will end this post may not be much but...

Bravo sir. You deserve more than an encore and a standing ovation.

BlazingDragon responds:

I can only hope that others share your opinion. I've submitted this to the judging pannel at OCRemix.org (A well known video game arrangement website) and am hoping that it is not immediately rejected. It is very difficult to get a piece accepted there from what I understand...

Your review is highly encouraging. I didn't compose this with any incredible emotions or inspiration in mind. I simply took two classic tunes in which I love and let the ideas flow. I just started taking a music theory class less than a week ago and am hoping that it shall aid me in all of my musical endevours. I believe that I have enough passion and drive...It is now a matter of refining my technique and learning proper compositional technique.

In writing this review you have encouraged me to strive forward and better myself. I am overjoyed to share my emotions and passions through music. Thank you for reviewing.
