Reviews for "Fond Memory"

Not bad at all!

A great piano song! I really liked the melody line of the intro actually. The whole song had an excellent tone and fell to it throughout. My one piece of advice would be a little variety. while the whole song sounded great, most of it sounded very similar. not to much dynamic change or just feel change in the song. Thats one of the reasons the intro sounded good was because of its difference from the same repetence of the rest of the song. Other than that great job!

BlazingDragon responds:

The intro worked, eh? I'm really glad to hear that! I will see if I can add a contrasting section or something. If I do, I'll write it in the author's comments. I definitely agree that this song could use more variety and I have a few ideas in mind. I did try to include dynamics, but the program I wrote this in was giving me trouble. (I used Finale 2007, whereas I normally use FL Studio). Close to the end, there is a big chord that I marked as fortissimo, so it should have been pretty loud. Oh well. :P

Thank you for the review, as it was very helpful!

*Blinks*

Some parts sound messed up.
But yes, this song.
Its absolutely amazing.
The title goes with it too.

BlazingDragon responds:

What parts sound messed up, though? (So I can improve it)

Anyway, thanks for the review. I appreciate it!

Another beautiful piece, good sir.

What is it about the piano, with all it's subtle shifts and blatant range, that make it such a beautiful instrument? It can dance, it can soar, it can sink, it can fall, plummet, rise, spread it's wings and fly away...

Eep! Lookit me, going all psychological. And here I just meant to leave a review...

There were a few changes in melody as it went along, and it wasn't truly very repetitive at all. It just built as it went, which is how real music is supposed to be. I get lost if everything changes in the entire song =]

This made me remember a few summers ago -happy sigh- Best summer of my life, that was. Thanks for the good memories. =] 10/10, 5/5

BlazingDragon responds:

I absolutely love the range of emotions that a piano can convey. Thundering arpeggios ascending from the bass, intricate melodic lines falling as graceful rain drops in the upper registers, and epic chords that resonate with the strings of our heart; this dynamic character of the piano is nothing short of astounding! *Sigh* Perhaps I am a bit too passionate. :p

I'm relieved that you noticed the subtle changes and builds as the song progressed. The majority of people do not catch such subtleties. Also, don't worry about "going all psychological". It is something that I do often. xD

Thank you for the review!

beautiful!

i personally feel your intro was absolutely beautiful, it set the mood for the rest of the song toa hapefull but sad setting. Instant gratification from me. You truly are great at what you do. This is what i see.

A car driving on a road pulling a young man on a scateboard. A couple friends having fun in the night. Until the youg man on the board cuts to the outside. where he is hit by an oncoming car. Lights flash out as this happens and the man is sent into acoma, the doctors dont believe he is going to make it. All the other friends are gathered around the room, all crying at what has befollen their comrade. Slowly they talk about all the things they have done with this young man onthe bed. how it wasnt right that out of all of them, he was the one to die first. And at the final note, the young mans eyes... open.

absolutely beautiful. I dont know what it is about yours and tamadrums music. its all so very well played it just drives me into these trances i guess. you truly have a talant and i am honored you are sharing it with me. and allowing ME, sombody who cant play a single musical instrument, to review/judge it. thank you again 5/5 10/10

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you for the comment on the intro.

Your story is very interesting. I wouldn't have imagined such a sad scene, as this is one of my happier songs. Then I read the end of the story and smiled. I was sure it was going to be a sad ending. :P

I really appreciate the reviews. Whether or not you can play an instrument isn't important. You seem to love music, and that is enough. :)

Nice, soothing, not emo :D

I see guy walking down the street, with a silly grin on his face. He waves to everyone and they wave back, smiling the same silly smile. He enters his home and turns on the light, sighing peacefully. He sits down in his chair and reclines, closing his eyes, still smiling. His surroundings fade to a hospital. His heartbeat is slowing to a halt. Doctors are rushing around, trying to save him, but he is still smiling, asleep, content.

BlazingDragon responds:

That is how I want to die. Smiling, content with the life I've lived.

Thanks for the review!
