intro

the intro seems fine.

the only point I noticed where it seemed wrong was between 00:15 and 00:20 where you went off from the main beat of the intro in a weird way.

If you want I can probly figure out a nice way to come off of that main beat on my keyboard without putting in a 2nd instrument.

just work with different things and see what sounds best.

but your intro is for the most part fine. idk why you don't like it.

I had to rewind it 3 times to hear what >I< percieved as wrong. but I'm sure this is a minor problem for such a great piece of work.

let the votes speak for the true quality of the song, everyone loves it so you must not have done much wrong. But if your really dead set on changing that intro.

I agree about the section between :15 and :20, and am glad you pointed it out! The rhythm prior to it was more syncopated/off beat, so I can see how it may sound odd switching to a more "straight" rhythym so quickly. I've yet to figure out how to make it satisfactory, and would love to hear any suggestions that you may have.

I hated the intro at first, but have actually come to like it as of late. I tend to change my mind very quickly. :P The only part I'd change is the section you mentioned, along with those blasted grace notes in the left hand at 1:14 and 1:24.

I feel bad for not writing a big review..

But in your Pieces there is not much to criticize.

This Piece sounded very much like something from Final Fantasy 7 especially at 37 seconds in, I liked the intro very much.

Nobuo Uematsu is pretty much incredible. I've looked up to him for years. One of the more recent games he did, which is called Blue Dragon, has some great songs. Waterside is an awesome track on there. :)

lolz bad intro?

Ahaha, you need to learn when a bad intro is a bad intro ;). The intro for this song set the mood pretty much for the rest. I loved it :) It really does remind you of many amazing memories :D. But, the depressing songs DO give more emotion, due to their err.. Well, sadness. : ) lol. Oh well, you kicked butt on this one, because I know playing happier songs is slightly hard ;P. 5/5 10/10 + FAVOURITED! :]

I have a hard time packing the same emotional intensity into a happy song. Sadness seems to be a much more complex emotion, with a lot more room for creativity. But maybe that is just me. Thanks for reviewing Jennifer!

The into was absolutely remarkable, and the whole thing was just oh so beautiful. It Reminded me of my late Grandfather.
