Reviews for "A spy in the clouds"

Beautiful

If only others on NG had a percentage of the sophistication and class you have, we would be seeing much better flash all the time. Great music, message, and art. I am going to be looking for more from you.

refreshingly good

Very nice art, nice poetry and imho great music.

As I see it, "He" is actually a metaphor for a "she" -- Margrethe Alexandrine Thorhildur Ingrid a.k.a. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, which includes Greenland. You guys who think He is God should do your research first.

I liked the part where the iceberg floats into the air and back into the ocean, effectively saying that "in Greenland, we can move mountains," albeit mountains of ice. I find it is very empowering.

Keep writing movies and I'll keep watching them.

polnareff responds:

....uhhh...actually, it is God :/ and not to sound dumb or anything, but the mountains raising from the earth was actually just a mess up in my motion tween :P But great concept! Its very smart :D

Intresting

Quite Original... I Like it

Great music

i like the music. it matches the scenery...

but no more peoms about god damnit! or jebus! THIS site "NEEDS MORE VIOLENCE and NUDITY!"

cool idea

That was pretty good stuff (albeit a little to cutsey for my taste, but very touching nonetheless). I'll confess I really didn't like the poem that much (personal opinion: the analogies were much to forced and the rhyme scheme didn't flow very well. But hey I'm just one guy, so don't sweat it).
I really did like the way your animations were smoothly transitioned onto the screen in perfect timing with the lines of verse from the poem. Granted the drawings were a bit rudimentary, but it was watching them being born from nothing that really caught my eye.
The music was beautiful and idylic for the mood you were trying to set; I love a good piano concerto (of course I also rock out to punk music. What a freak eh? ^-^).
Finally the premise: the Creator smiling down on all his good works. Old as dust, but still well executed and it hit the right buttons with me. I especially liked that you chose the unlikely setting of the lower arctic circle as opposed to some lovey-dovey meadow with butterflies and pink roses and blah blah blah. I love the north, and I guess that's what sold me.

Long story short: Great idea, great execution, great music. Consider upping the detail of your animation and...well the poem is totally a matter of opinion, so nevermind ^-^. Great job!
