Reviews for "Scrap Book: Bohh vs. Nosu"

worth the wait

The whole idea of having your animation in a sketchbook is very clever and will give you a great format for doing a more movies. This first entry was really great, your step by step animation technique is inspiring, and it suits your drawing style well. Your sounds are well placed and give the movie its humor. I need to go check out your other movies. Can't wait to see more of these. Don't worry about the file size if folks don't want to spend the time let them go watch some sucky stick figure/skater movie.

great, awsome, amazing, not enough good words

Finally something truely great has graced the coveted position of number one. Ever since Star Wars Gangsta Rap was taken off, every thing that has been in its place was crap, until now. And when i talk about crap, yes, i do mean the final task, and yes, i do mean keeblur. This one my not be long, it may not be sexual, i may not have color, crude humor, excessive violence, or any of those other things one would expect from a portal entry, but it breaks the mold and brings something new and entertaining to Newgrounds.

Thanks RC. When making this I didn't reall think about avoiding all of those cliches. I really just started goofing around on my light pen, and out came that shot where Bohh smashes the ground. A week later... voila.

Hey

Damn, that sure did do that with the smoothness.

reminds me of how I killed time in school.

I'm looking forward to your future work. This is excellent, masterfully done. Definitely excellent animation. It's too bad the rest of the portal can't be as cool as this.

Good deal

Amend: ninjas ARE awesome. With their......um.........ninja-ne ss. Anyway, I found the awesome style of this VERY familiar, and then it hit me. Tell me: have you played any "Neverhood" games, and did they inspire you? Everything about this is very Neverhood-ish, from the character designs, to the sound effects. Anyway, if the Neverhood DID inspire you, good job, cuz you'd be learnin from the best. Either way: EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!

damianmartins responds:

Actually, I've never seen or heard of "Neverhood" before. But I just went to check it out, and I can totally see where you're coming from. The distorted proportions of the characters. The sketchiness of the design. Right down to the little swirl motif they have. It's really similar. I only saw a couple of sites and I never heard any sound but I'm sure it'd be close, because the visuals cry out for cartoon-like audio. Good call. Maybe I should rent that game. It looks pretty sweet.
