Reviews for "Speedy Bass (Dubstep)"

Smashing Tune!

Dat bassline is serious! Very heavy track man im loving it. Check out the tracks bro. Peace

Jimbobsthebest responds:

Thanks for the review man. I'm really pleased you found the bass heavy, that was completely intended. I've always had a thing for heavy bass, so I thought I'd go for that chugging beefy sound, and I hope it payed off.

I'll get on to checking out your tunes man, i've had a little look and it seems you've got plenty of drum and bass for my ears to be treated to. I'll get on to checking that out in the morning.

Once again, thanks for the review. James

Mental Breakout

im lovin the "mental" vibe of this whole thing 10/10

Mental is good...>.>

Jimbobsthebest responds:

I'm pleased your liking the mental, I'm always a big fan of things a little mental.

Thanks for the review, and thanks for a very generous score.

James

Awesome stuff.

This sounds like it formed the basis for Too Filthy For You (which is fucking amazing btw), but it sounds great on it's own.

Jimbobsthebest responds:

Thanks for the review mate. This was pretty much experimenting with my own wobble bass. But I didn't really want to take this any further, as it's a little too repetitive.

Nevertheless, I'm glad you liked it ;)

Slick Wobble FX

How do you create your wobble? The only effective way I have found is oscillating Ts404's on FL stuido @_____@

Great rendition, I think the arpeggio synths @ 2:35 are too low-frequency, possibly try a more siren like sound. Wobble could variate a tad bit more, stretch the oscillation.... STREETCH! Other than that Smash SMASH the ups. Check my preview on my latest dub-shindig. I am practicing on it currently, so dont expect any release soon.

5/5

Jimbobsthebest responds:

I did this all in reason. I've never been a fan of fruity loops myself, although i'm always surprised what people can make with it. I made the wobble bass with the maelstrom in reason. Simply changed the rate of the oscillators to get that wobble sound.

I'm not sure what you mean by the synths being too low frequency as I wanted to go for that low bassy feel. Although I totally agree that the wobble could vary more, it does get a little repetitive. I really think that some lyrics over this would make it much more interesting, but i'm trying to find a lyricist that wants to work on it.

Thanks again for the review, and i'll try and keep updated with your new tunes.

Cheers, James

Nice... Some good music on NG

Pretty nice song you've got here!

Sick ass wobble bassline. Reminds me of some wobblestep I've heard. Really phat subbass there, vibrating the floor!

Hm, to tell you the truth, I don't think a Rap would really fit over this. You'd be forced to lose some of that awesome low bass you've got going here!

Drums are nice, pretty reverbed. Synths are really eerie, reverbed! Pretty cool shit man!

Only real problem is how its repetitive, and doesn't have too much other than that bass and the occasional stab to draw in listeners! Try adding in maybe some alternative bass tracks, or possibly some other FX. Its pretty nice for a club track, just not really a headphone type of thing!

Overall, nice job! 9/10! Would you mind checking out my most recent track, Quantum Fire? Thanks man! :)

Jimbobsthebest responds:

Thanks for the review navij11. Yeah i'm completely with you on the repetitiveness, I think i'll have to add something else to it.

It's interesting what you mentioned about the rapping. I thought it could work quite well over the top, but it would completely depend on the type of rapper.

Thanks again for the review man, i'll get on to checking the Quantum Fire out.
