Reviews for "DBZ: Vegeta's Past Part1"

Could've been better...

Well, it's obvious what bits were traced... but anyway, i saw the preview for this a while ago, and you still haven't improved the proportions or original artwork... Anyway, it was ok, the intro was good (although the graphics sucked) and most the music you used is from japanese DBZ, not Bruce Falcouner, just the American music you used.
Yuo have potential, this was long, but a bit boring because of poor graphics.
Put a bit more effort in and you will get better, go to www.howtodrawmanga.com and look at how to draw the DBZ characters.

Good idea

You have something here. It's a good idea. Though the graphics were no good, I thought the graphics looked funny, i couldn't help but laugh, I agree with the other guy though, the villan could have looked better, but hey ur off to a start.Good luck on ur next episode, i'll be sure to catch it.

Agramon responds:

yes, you are right, the enemy could have looked better, in the next one he will transform. and then the story gets intersting. do you think i should submit some cool parts from the next movie just to get people interested?

It was alright...

It was very cool how you mixed the english with the japanese versions of the show. Although you need to give a large amount of credit to Kageyama Hironobu, who is, i am pretty sure, the japanese artist of the original songs for dbz. I noticed a couple of songs from the jap version, and i think you should give some credit to him. Faulconer kinda sucks. Pretty good Flash.

Not bad, not bad...

I won't sugar-coat it... the artwork was shit. However, that's nothing you can't improve upon. Flesh out the story a bit more and you'll have a DBZ story worthy of Toriyama! As for the music, next time stick just to the Japanese soundtrack. The sound was fine until you inserted the American music.

Agramon responds:

my artwork does need work, you're right but its not shit. just take a look at my second one when it comes out. I cant get enough of the japanese soundtrack to match the story. I have to improvise alot. Thanks for the response though.

Good effort, but pacing was choppy

Good story (if a little well-worn), good use of music. The lack of dialogue was disappointing and the pacing was all over the place. Sometimes things moved very quickly, and then slowed waaaay down (the Kamehameha wave scene is a perfect example). Polish the graphics, put in some dialogue, and even out the pacing. Still, a worthy effort overall.
