Reviews for "US vs RIAA"

Worst anti-RIAA movie ever

You say that the RIAA is so greedy that they sue 12 year old girls and make sure that CD prices are ridiculous. I agree with that, but just because music is over priced doesn't mean it should be legal to steal it. Instead of showing how P2P programs can be used legaly and mentioning artists you don't mind if people share thier music, you make it sound like you just want free music that someone made to sell for money. You may be just as greedy(not really possible) as the RIAA. You could have bashed the RIAA on how they want to infringe on people's privacy by wanting to know what's on your hard drive, but you made a bad case.

I didn't give this a 5 or sign the petition becuase for all I know you work for the RIAA!

Ehh..

Well..It was short, and not overly informative for the most part..

I think some of your numbers and facts were off..

Four million people are *not* five percent of the total population of the United States..I believe the number that generally gets thrown around is 250 million living with the borders of the US.

You spoke of Kazaa and Morpheus as if they were two entirely independant networks. Last I checked (It's been a while since I've used Kazaa/Morpheus/Grokster/etc), if you're connected to Kazaa, you're connected to Morpheus, as you can download from people using both programs. The main difference between the two is graphical, and maybe the spy/ad ware they use. Personally, I use WinMX.

Next, you pulled a liberal media kind of trick. Yes, I'm sure they're suing the parent or guardian of a 12 year old somewhere, but it's not like that's their main target. They're going after college network "gurus" who are sharing thousands of files.

That might all seem kind of picky, but when you overexaggerate things, or leave out certain facts, it takes away from your message.

Well..That's my two cents..Do I think music is over priced? Yeah..Especially considering the quality of bands that come out nowadays..Am I for the RIAA? Of course not..But I can understand their position..If I was a rich as hell CEO, I wouldn't want to have to take a few million dollars worth of pay cuts. Have fun watching this crap that only got through because of it's message. Personally, I blammed it. :)

RIAA can eat a big, floppy donkey dick...

I must say this to those bastards in the RIAA...

"All you motherfuckers are gonna pay. You are the ones who are ball-lickers. We - the 60 million Americans who you are trying to sue - are gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little whiny bitches..."

Let's see you dickheads try and sue me for sayin that!!!

even so

you stole that song....

I totally agree

Why cant they just lower thier prices and compete with the free downloads?! If the price was lowered to... lets say 4.99 I'd probably buy the cd that is already made for me rather than going through all the trouble to download music.
Hell, even before many people had cd players back in the day, I would record off the radio onto a cassette. everyone did it. but by todays standards they would call that stealing!! Why cant those whiney cry babies stop filing lawsuits and get a fucking life! They would proffit so much more and they wouldn't lose their reputation if they just lowered their prices and just delt with it! They could even advertise by saying that all of their cds are better quality than the music downloaded from file shareing.
I just don't only feel sympathy for just one 12 year old kid I fell very sorry for all those file sharers nation wide who have had their asses sued. They think us individual file sharers as thives they really need to pull their head out of their asses
