Reviews for "I Burn Bridges"

Lovely.

I like it, it's a very calming song. Favorited.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Well awesome, Cericon! Glad to know you enjoyed it! ;D

My Take On It

I liked the song, but it didn't strike me as the usual Ska type of music-- which might be a good thing mind you. There was that and the vocals. I didn't have a problem with the vocalist, but I did have a problem with the quality of the vocals, I didn't find the vocals very clear and everything. Though, it had a great sound. Please keep the music coming.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Well thank you for the review, your majesty! :P

You're not the only one who doesn't find it very Ska-y, and I don't blame you. We will keep the music coming, however, and hopefully you'll find everything to be clearer and a lot more of that rude boy spirit.

False-Advertised Awesomeness!

Alright, I know I'm not the first one telling you this... But it's not quite Ska.
Regardless, sounds great.

I think the horns could use a bit more of a crisp sound. Sounds a bit dull as far as audio quality goes. But it could just be me.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything. Just a bit of constructive criticism.

Other then that, great! It reminds me of Modest Mouse's early (early) albums.
Can't wait to hear more from you guys.

Ever considered trying Dance-hall Ska?

HyruleanHyroe responds:

In point-by-point order:

We call ourselves Ska, and are gradually conforming to Ska. I like to think we're closer to ska then anything else. I'm glad you think it sounds good, though!

It was indeed a poor recording. Hopefully the new tracks will be more to your liking. I've always liked a crispness to the horn section, even verging on blatting, but that's just me.

Constructive criticism is great! Thank you!

Can't say I've heard Modest Mouse's early albums, but again, that's just me. Thanks anyways! :P

We've all considered it, and it's not ruled out by any means. We'll see how things go.

Thanks for the review, Mr. Bucket!

Nice stuff

Basically it sounds pretty good to me. I like the lyrics also.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Short, sweet, and to the point. Thanks for the props, and I hope to hear from you when our new stuff comes out. :)

cool.

It's a great song, not ska though (At least not the first one... More like pop punk
with horns.) But the hidden track, on the other hand, is pretty cool.

You've got a solid horn section, and great potential. Hope to hear more from you.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Believe me, you will! I'll agree with you in regards to our early stuff, but we've got 4 brand new songs, and 2 rewrites, that are all about 400% more ska than this. So check back later, I'm hoping that we have everything done and recorded by the end of April. I can't guarantee it, since we've all been extremely busy the last couple of weeks, but here's hoping!

*Edit*
I'd also like to thank you for commenting on the hidden track! It's one of my favorite things to play ever, and I wish more reviewers would listen to it and review it as well. Ah, well.
