Reviews for "God Digs my Daddy"

Bad taste

Actually I've seen better animations. Beside when you talk about those "lovable" bible characters you have to know that the bible is not like any hypocrital history book, it shows both good and bad sides of humans which is exacltly as we are. You whole bunch of people gotta start to understand that the fact that humans do horrible things doesn't affect God plans. He is perfect and his plans are perfect, but we are so stubborn that we want to do all for ouselves without trusting him.

You're a delusional half wit. Who cares what you think? Anyone who believes in a myth is an idiot. Your thoughts on anything are worthless.

Very nice!

This movie is very interesting indeed. The visuals and music are very nice but God giving a leak on the earth was pretty creepy. Anyways, the verse in the movie like someone else pointed out is a bit off. He doesnt exactly say that he would sacrifice his daughter but if that is his only child and if he referred to his daughter as "it" then he probably was referring to her and didn't care much about her in the first place.

A lot of people might think that God was for sacrificing his daughter which at first it does. But, winning that war probably was already Gods plan for the army that Jehpthah was in. So even though he made a foolish promise to God (According to Leviticus 20: 1-5 God does not like human sacrifices by the way) do you think that God should have let them lose the battle and have the whole army of God destroyed just so he wouldn't have to sacrifice his daughter? I think that probably God could have easily done this, but then the army's enemies might have taken over their cities and such which I don't think that God would have wanted for his people. You are 100% right that it is wrong that she had to die for the foolish wantings of her father who as Xadowz pointed out that he could have just said a simple prayer to God asking if they would let them win.

And another odd thing, do you notice how in verses 37-38 how she mourns with her friends that she will never get MARRIED instead of mourning that she will die? It does say in the Bible that he did to her just what he had promised to do, but I have a suspicion that something else happened instead but I probably am wrong.

And from your responses to other peoples reviews, I see that you are an atheist which is perfectly fine with me even though I am a Christian. I respect what you believe, and I hope that you respect what I believe. And another thing, I see that one of the people who wrote a review was complaining how all Christians hate gay people and want to get rid of them. This is not true. I know tons of Christians including myself who accept people for what they believe and how they live their lives. I personally don't believe in being gay because it is against what I believe in but everyone deserves to have rights. And unfortunately, the few Christians who go and bash gays are giving Christians a bad name. Christians should accept other people for what they are and not bash them like that.

I apologize that this is so long but I just had to say a few things. You did a good job making this even though I don't agree with what you see the bible as.

Sorry but I don't. xtianity promotes sexism, speciesism, racism, homopbobia and war. muslims and xtians are the largest forces of evil on the planet. Until humanity gets rid of religion we will never know peace.

Very Good

Rather than speaking against God, i think this story is speaking against those people who expect to make a bargain with God to solve all their problems and end up losing something valuable. Though the warrior said, "help us to defeat your enemies, e probably only wanted to save himself, and rather than solve his own problem he turned to God for help and believed he had to offer something in order for God to help him, even though he could have just made a simple prayer, which God would have answered even without the need of a girl's soul.

Sapphyres pointed out that in the story of Abraham, God stopped Abraham from offering his son, but that story is different, for in that case God asked Abraham for his son. In this case it was the other way round, the man offering his daughter. If anything the difference shows us that God does not want people to make human sacrifices.

In the story of Job, the children which God gives Job are Job's original children, plus two more.

Sapphyres was right about doing the right thing for it is the right thing, and not doing it out of fear of burning in hell. I would also like to point out that i am a Catholic (Roman Catholic to be specific)

Nice movie, with a deep meaning.
