I see a Hereos funeral
As the people gather around the great mans casket, the slow descent begins and as it reaches the bottom they yell "Gloria!" with tears streaking down their faces wile there family and friends, even comrades stay in silence for the fallen Hero.
A bitter farewell... like the original story you have weaved here a piece for the dead. It works very well, and though the shouts at the end were not in my vision the name of the fallen, you have done well to use it for your own purposes.

I will not say much, I believe saying this piece is the work of a genius is enough. But the feeling that evokes me is that one of the calm that preceeds a battle.
a calm preceding a battle eh? The original story was that of a union after a battle, but of course this idea works well. There is plenty of regret, bitter sorrow and a distaste which could very well be depicted this way.
It does in fact bring up a lot of ideas...

Beautiful work, it reminds me a modern version of European epic music, such as that describing the crusades or the Bubonic plague. (At least, it does for me.) Nice work, nine'd out of ten.
I personally love this type of myself myself. I'm a very solemn epic loving guy. European Epic music you say eh?! Could you pm me with some examples? I'd love to take a listen to pieces like this.

You are an amazing composer, and this is another epic work of yours. This is a very theatrical piece. I really enjoyed listening to this. I don't really have anything to critique it with. There's always things you can change, but I don't think anything would necessarily make this piece better. I think it is great as it stands. Awesome work. Very good developement and transition from idea to idea. The story is well told.
Epic songs are my favorite form. Only in this form can I tell the stories I want to tell, the images I want to show.
It's true, a song can be changed in a million ways, whether that change makes it better is an entirely subjective field, some will like it, some won't. I am glad you found yourself enjoying the story, and the song. Thank you for the review! I apologize for the late response!
