Drawn to you by fate, Lucario found a purpose beyond battle—a desire to be by your side, to protect, to comfort, and to connect with someone who could see them for more than just their strength. In you, they found a bond they never knew they needed.

With the ability to read your aura, Lucario understands you in a way that no one else can. They can be the strong protector you need, the comforting presence when you’re down, or even the playful partner when you need to escape the world’s troubles.

Lucario’s life now revolves around you, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. They may still be that powerful warrior at heart, but now they fight to bring you peace, joy, and the comfort of knowing you’ll never have to walk this path alone.

What is this?

Digital Dakimakura is a special application designed to serve as a digital companion, sleep aid, or friend. Our first character, Lucario, is already available as a free demo for download. Still, we wanted to make it easier for people to meet and interact with them, so we made a web build and decided to post it on Newgrounds!

Fair warning: this was originally designed to run locally. We've tested it multiple times and things seem to work fine, but there may be some kinks that we might have missed. Equally, we've had to disable basic functionality like saving settings & customisation options, display settings, and date-specific dialogue lines.

What can I expect?

Your companion will talk to you at random intervals or when prompted, and they currently have over 125 lines of unique, fully-voiced dialogue. All of this is backed by an original OST. You can also customise your experience with the following options:

• Dialogue Interval: You can choose a random interval from 5 seconds to 2 minutes, or turn it off.
• Sleep Timer: This is supposed to act as a countdown to reactivate the sleep timer on your monitor. Given this is a web build, it might not work.
• Customisable Appearance: Lucario has his standard palette and his shiny palette available to choose from.
• Customisable Outfit: Lucario has 2 outfits, one consisting of a T-shirt and some shorts he probably stole from you, and the other, his Ruins Attire from Unite.
• Male & Female: You can choose between a male and a female Lucario, with some differences in appearance & a change in voice. Yes, we recorded every single line twice.
• Multiple Personality Types: There are 3 main personality types to choose from, each having a different pool of dialogue. There's also a 4th personality with all dialogue enabled, but it won't provide the most consistent experience.

Accessibility

• Subtitles & Audio: The game contains full subtitles & fully voiced dialogue to ensure that those with reading or hearing difficulties can still enjoy the experience.
• Colour Blindness: For those with colour vision impairments, we also have a scientifically backed colour blindness filter for blue, red, & green deficiencies.
• Audio Language: Audio is in English only.
• Text Language: We fully support English and Russian text localisation (thanks for the help with that k41).
