Sequel to Shadow Gauntlet! Built over the last 3-4 weeks. Made some cool improvements to the engine, tried to make it more accessible, but I did end up racing to get it finished. Hope you have fun with it!

HOW DOES THIS RUN SO SMOOTH ON MOBILE! :0
pretty fun, though the mobile viewport for me is zoomed out, game works fine but I can see farther than expected, it also made swinging on the trees avoiding the owl easier and more fun
I think you should exaggerate the momentum given by swinging
and the windmill level I just shot up to the blades and angled in a way that the sweeping motion launched me, very fun!

VicBiss responds:

Tbh, not sure, but it does seem to run better on my phone than my desktop browser. Praise the Ruffle developers!

I'm really glad you've returned with a sequel! the first game, as challenging as it may be, was very nice and it just put a smile on my face to see another game
I think I had an easier time with the controls with this one
I still enjoy the art style and the fluidity, and the Level 10 is very nice; I was using the bees to swing around if I got cornered and had a lot of fun. I think that level really taps what you're going for

I also like the way things move around in this game, the raccoon and the snake are highlights
well done!

VicBiss responds:

Thank you. Bee level and snake level are some of my favorites too!

I've found myself critiquing a lot of games in this Jam for having a low skill ceiling, but WOW did this game make me eat my words.

This felt easier than the first game up until a point. I nearly screamed at my computer on level 11, repeatedly trying and failing to make it up and over the little orange hazard. After over a year of this control system I'm sure you're used to it, but to me this game simultaneously feels too slow and too fast. The recoil isn't strong enough and controlling a swing feels spastic. I'm not sure I like the fact that where you grab a moving object can force it to tip one way or another, it just reinforces the feeling of not having anything solid to grab onto, and you already spend a long time slipping around feeling out of control in this game.

The silhouette art looks fantastic but I think your choice of colors could stand to be a bit higher contrast. Some of the pastel greens and pinks look ugly together.

Last, as was the case with the first game it can be frustrating not knowing where to go. Sure you can see the finish at the start, but a little arrow pointing in the direction of the finish (perhaps with an indicator of how far away it is) would be a real game changer.

Got stuck on the 11th level with the swinging tires, but this is a nice game! The controls take a bit of time to get acquainted with, and admittedly, I'm not quite fully acquainted myself just yet, but they get the job done.

I love the simplicity of the art, and you clearly had a lot of fun coming up with a theme to each of the levels; each one feels fresh and it keeps things interesting when you're always trying to guess what might pop up next.

One of the best Flash Forward entries I've played so far! :D

VicBiss responds:

Thank you! It was all worth it for people to see my stir fry animation.

Getting stuck on level 11 seems to be a common theme, those orange levels are supposed to transition from the more aesthetic and chill levels to the more challenging levels but it's obviously a steeper curve than intended

I made a couple of changes, level 11 as well as a few later levels should be easier and grapples should be more 'magnetic' where you don't need to be as accurate with your clicks. Pushing the update may have wiped your save data, sorry about that!
