The USS Tartarus sank months ago, after it's Captain went rogue and sailed the ship into the heart of the Pacific. It's wreck has been located, and a diving expedition sent to investigate and recover a strange necklace the crew supposedly recovered.

You're equipped with a knife, a speargun with a few spears, a single health kit, and enough oxygen to last the dive. Also provided is a small experimental hydrophone, which can decode the anomalous signals commonly found near underwater human remains.
