Iconic: all the right mechanics are there, and it's got a kind of charm to it probably mostly the sounds but the art backs it up just a little.
I would fine tune the movement though and make it feel more mario 3-ish, if you know what i mean: there's a balance of precision and "slipperiness" that you can find in the games that's missing here. I'm sure something could be done to add p-speed too but that's wishful thinking and it isn't needed for an autoscroller.
