Lost For Swords is a Roguelike Deckbuilder, where the cards in your deck shape the rooms of the dungeon you’re exploring.


Guide your hero by clicking on cards to equip weapons and armor, collect loot and fight the monsters of the dungeon.

But watch out! Every piece of equipment you pick up, you can only use once! Plan ahead how you spend your resources. Are your cards strong enough? Can you make it to the next dungeon floor?

Your equipment cards and the cards of the dungeon are shuffled together and placed on the board, creating a unique challenge every time!

Between dungeon floors, you can upgrade your equipment to build the strongest deck possible. Can you find synergies between the cards?

Love it! Got me hooked quite a while. A lot of different strategies can be used even in one class.
Is the 'mage-class' going to be available here on NG too or only on steam?

I wished there would be more often a healing option, maybe in exchange for losing cards or receiving sins.
But afterall a wonderfull game! Thank you for making it and putting so much effort into this. It's really fun to play :-)

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! :) The mage class will be in the Steam version only, I'm afraid. I have to keep some content exclusively for the paid version. Hope you understand!

More healing options in the form of new NPCs in the Mezzanine is planned though :)

This is a really good one. My favorite strategy is to use a lot of incinerate cards.

Maybe a bug: I've beaten the highest difficulty levels for knight and rogue, but I've never found any alternative starter decks.

There's a bug in the current version that prevents the unlock of alternative starter decks. Will be fixed in the next version, coming in a few days!

I really like the new unlockable starter card sets, but I dislike the change to the Puncture Ring that causes monsters to also ignore defense, making the entirety of the armor mechanic obsolete, and leaving pretty much half of all the cards useless. Is it a bug or a feature? If it's a bug, can it be fixed sooner, since I really enjoyed the old Puncture Ring more. If it's a feature, can you please update the flavor text to say that monsters also bypass your armor and hit your HP directly? I still enjoy this game a lot, and wish you good luck with the development, but some of the flavor text descriptions do need rereading and updating.

That's 100% a bug! Sorry for this, I never meant to change it!

It just got accidentally changed in a rework of the general armor system, cause I'm working on the third character right now.

Next update will have this fixed!
