Not bad. However,Not knowing where the defense green zone is is frustrating and sometimes lead to an instalose. Enemies that kill you in 2 hits make permanent damage useless feature. Upgrades on defense doesn't seem to work.
The concept is cool though.
I could see this being a ton of fun if it just had a time bit more. Simple things like having later enemies having multiple areas you need to click to fully dodge would make them more unique and not just feel like the last enemy with higher stats. Also just something simple like a combo meter that gives you more upgrades of being perfect could go a long way. Feel like this could be something pretty great if added on
Really good concept and execution! The only problem I've noticed is that the music doesn't start back up when you rematch, though I'm sure that's an easy fix. Everything else from the mechanics of the game to the sound effects is spot on.
I'm curious, why bother with permanent damage when there are enemies that can kill you in 2 shots even from full health? I was shocked that getting hit on the first gun caused very little damage and the third gun took half my life. Also, not showing the location of the defend bar before you click to start the slider makes some locations pretty rough to hit without just double clicking and hoping that it isn't further down. You only get one shot at hitting the spot (2 passes would be nice). I found this probably the most frustrating and pointless part of the game. Now, I can hear the thought that this is because it would make the game too easy. I would retort that there are better ways to make the game more difficult as opposed to blinding you to the goal. Changing the speed, the target size, the action required to initiate a dodge. The upgrade to defense bar size although it claimed to be 20% wasn't noticeable, wondering if this was also an attempt to prevent the game from becoming easier.. yet that is the point of an upgrade.. For me this adds up to a game that although it looks nice and seems to be functional really struggles to be fun.
