This game needs so, so much polish...
There isn't much substance, just two aggressive NPCs and an apple.
The control scheme was probably designed for an octopus.
* Movement - arrow keys
* Attack (directional) - Z
* Change attack direction - mouse (your sword follows your cursor)
* Interact - E
* Chat (for some reason?) - X
* Changelog (empty) - P
* Controls list (empty) - L
* Close window (you hoped to see the controls, didn't you?) - spacebar
So, it might work as a proof of concept, to see if it is possible to make a game in the engine you've chosen, but it is barely playable at its current state.
You need to somehow bring in the game states into the mix to reduce the amount of keys required and pack them closer together so it is easier to play.
But if it's your first game ever, that's a good first try, keep working on it.
