Edit June 25th 2023: Should be working now! Turns out I was using an outdated version of Ren'Py! My bad!
Made for the MAYbe Queer Jam, In Bloom is a very short kinetic novel with roughly 3 minutes of gameplay. There are no choices to be made, nothing to stress over. Just a story being told.
This game is free, however, a donation can be made over on itch.io if you so wish. Anything made off of In Bloom will go towards the Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing suicide in LGBTQ+ youth.
Created with the help of several volunteers willing to tell their trans awakening stories, In Bloom is a story about the less talked about parts of a trans awakening. So many people know they're trans as kids, but what happens if you don't find out until later on in life? What if you still like things associated with your assigned gender? What if you don't know how you want to identify? All of these subjects are given the spotlight in In Bloom.

Nice job with this by the way! The artstyle and music compliment the story you're telling really well; the roughed in colors and textures highlight those feelings of "incompleteness" brought on by dysphoria. It's a nice mood piece. :)

The game has a bug which doesn't allow to be played. I use a Windows PC. I can not click any buttons. Besides that, the game's art and ambience look interesting.

This is a known issue in Safari and Webkit browsers. Please report this issue to Apple."

DM me and let me know what browser you're using! This is a known issue on Chrome and Safari with seemingly no fix. If you're not on one of those browsers however that's definitely concerning and I'll look into it.
Not sure if it's being addressed, but I'm getting a "Maximum call stack size exceeded" error after the title screen pops up, which I think is preventing me from selecting any of the options. I can still select the top left dropdown menu that lists "import/export saves" etc. but that's about it. Is it just me, or anyone else get this issue?

If you're on Chrome this will happen!! this is an issue with Ren'Py web rather than the game itself.
