Jones Quest

Note: This game was made purely to test the features of RPG Maker MZ, but I ended up making it into something more, so I thought I'd share it. If you're not a fan of the usage of default assets and lack of plugins, this might not be the game for you! Also, this game has a lot of excessive profanity, mostly because I thought it was funny.

Welcome to Jones Quest, a short 1-hour-ish RPG game where you play as Vashuto, a complete bootleg hybrid of two blond anime characters, on his quest to fight the Shishkabob Demon, and then later, God.

Meet with a chilled out bartender, a guy strangely by the name of Former President Barack Obama, some dude named Mark, and a robot that hates gods, as you travel the world of pre-made sample maps and lots of enemies that aren't really all that hard to fight.

Also someone keeps putting 100s of potions inside of chests.

Controls:

Arrow Keys = Move

Z = Interaact

X = Cancel, Menu

Shift = Sprint

This game helped me better understand the phenomenon we call the human condition.
Also, Vashuto looks like the kind of relatable guy that should have an animeā€”no, wait, TWO anime series of his own... sucks about Jones, though. Maybe in the sequel, he'll get top billing.

QuartzMage responds:

Lol right? Can't tell if Vashuto fits better in a ninja setting or a futuristic wild west setting...
Either way, thanks for playing!

This deserves GOTY for here on to four years into the future, best game ever.

Now for real lmao, it's not bad at all for just a test on what can you do with the engine, and the story was fun to follow (And i'm actually expecting a sequel to this madness sincerely).

Effortless and all, you did a great job!

QuartzMage responds:

Thanks, I appreciate the review!
Truth be told, this turned out much more than expected, and I'm already working on a sequel part. It's been a lot of fun to work on.

This was a fun game. I had a laugh over the well being on fire XD

QuartzMage responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!
