Back in June 2005, I released a game called Video Game Sim - The Video Game about playing Video Games. It is now 2023 and the game has been played by millions of people worldwide.

Video Game Sim featured some unplayable mini games along with a message where I said I'd release a new version of the game in August 2005 with working mini games. I never released a new version of the game, and for the past 18 years, people have been asking if the new version will ever come out.

Well, I am here to acknowledge that I broke my word. I said I'd release the new version of the game in August 2005 and I didn't do it. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was excited to play the new version of the game and never got to play it. I started building Video Game Sim 2 in 2005, but stopped working on it by the end of that year.

If it's any consolation, I am now posting the unfinished version of Video Game Sim 2 here for you to get a taste of what it would have been like. I am sad to say that this version also doesn't have any working mini games. I tried making the mini games, which turned out to be way harder than I expected, so I gave up.

I made Video Game Sim when I was 14 years old and expected that maybe a few thousand people would play it and I'd stop hearing about it within a few weeks. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect that millions of people would play the game and that people would still be playing it after 18 years. I make things because I want to bring joy to people's lives, and this game has brought joy to more people than everything else I've ever made combined.
