This game has some amazing potential. I love the art style and how fights transition from a rpg to a platformer. However, the game needs some more polishing and more story.
5/30/2023 - Load times fixed and final boss rebalanced
A Princess Remedy inspired game made to celebrate 400 followers on Twitter... yes I'm 400 extra followers late, what about it?
!!FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING!! (I think)
A simple game. Talk to NPCs to sell potions (done so in 2D platformer battles), use the money from those sales to unlock the Toll Gates in the overworld (done in a top-down style), and find chests to get stat upgrades to make it all easier.
Controls: Z (Interact/Jump) X (Run/Special) Enter (Pause) Arrows (Movement). It also supports controllers!
Worth noting the music in the game was made by SOLESTEAM (someone you can only find on YouTube unfortunately).
If for whatever reason you wanna, you can download the game here.

Lovely game, but it's too long. Without an actual plot or development it gets boring. Killing enemies don't give you improvement, so each stage is not that fulfilling actually. I see no reason to make that lot of them in each area. I gave up on gold area, to be honest. Still nice game anyway, with good visuals and mechanics.
I'm Going To Assume That All The Issues With This Are Bugs. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NOytxS-CF_VDc6Ldi0u3wFYRmMtR3_WE/view?usp=sharing
I have genuinely no clue what happened there, what the hell lol
It's heavily inspired, but it's a competent experience. Although some later encounters get especially challenging, even on lowest difficulty [Note: I still didn't beat the (I presume) final boss]. And character sometimes doesn't turn around when changing direction, which can additionally screw the player over.
Aditional note: The game took a few tries and quite a bit of time to load properlu.
Takes ages to load (with no indication that it is loading, it's just a black screen!) however the game is very good. I've played Princess Remedy, and this totally captures the gameplay style and aesthetics. Great job.
I'll look into at least making a loading indicator or something like that (never took to long for it to load for me so I just didn't think to). Glad you enjoyed the game though
