What is it?

Reverie Channel is a short surreal visual novel with point and click elements. You play as Ember as he explores the world he is set in filled with an odd and colorful cast of characters. While solving problems and completing a key to the mysterious Gate to Reality.

As a point and click the game focuses more on exploration and talking to characters while the visual novel part is seen throughout the dialogue and style of the cutscenes.

It leans more towards a kinetic novel aside from 1 choice that affects the ending.

What does it have?

The game has:

  • 2 endings.
  • Weird locations inspired by different pieces of surreal art.
  • Strange characters which sometimes have portraits.
  • And music including chiptune and ambience.

The game is also relatively short so it wouldn’t take too long to complete. There is also the ability to play with a keyboard/controller and a mouse in case one or the other isn’t working.

Personally I enjoyed this small point-n-click quest, and that's very unusual to see this type of game being made with rpgmaker...

I had a lot of vibes from this game, like Ena' vibe, Hylics one; only I didn't liked how big amount of background looked like.. like a fade photos with too saturated primal colors.
Well, something wasn't clickable an entire minutes, but sometimes.
Very nice game, thanks.
(for sure this isn't even good review or feedback, but at least some response, yeah)

PlasmaSpade responds:

Thanks! I'll try to see if I can fix that bug related to not being able to click a certain object. Hylics and ENA are two of my biggest inspirations.
