got stuck on the letter lock, im looking around the room for a clue but nothing is standing out

Inside the chest is a note that you can view in your inventory.
Not sure if this is a bug or what but I got to the point where I had put the code in the keypad next to the last door and nothing happened, both padlocks had been removed and the clock hand had been put back on the clock but neither the keypad or the clock hands can be interacted with.
