Certainly a good start for a game. I'd say that you outta add a sound menu in order to adjust certain sound levels. Personally, I think people would get a kick out of being able to replace sounds within the game with their own audios, especially since the audio given does get a little annoying after a little while. There is a part where it appears it would work like stairs, but I was dissapointed to see that you end up just falling through them. This game will certainly need more decoration, but the spaceman model looks fine. I'd say that it needs to be put at a total rest when idle though. Camera view could use work too, I think it should be made to move freely. Keep up the good work man.

OrangeGroove responds:

Thanks for the feedback, so this one was made about 12 years ago when I was still learning about games and coding. I put it up here just for fun and am so glad to see people responding - everything you say I agree with 100 percent :) Unfortunately Ruffle, the Flash emulator on newgrounds, is only about 80% functional, so certain functions and code not working at all like the original versions...I figure if I get enough good feedback from any of these old projects that I will rework/recode and release new ruffle friendly versions.

I put this one up to see if there is an audience that would play a retro styled platformer these days, great to rediscover newgrounds and a place where people care enough about the art of game development to give constructive feedback! As an indie dev I feel I've found a missing piece of the puzzle to creating a great game - player feedback :) Thanks for your post, it is super inspiring to know someone gave there time and thought to something you created. I will definitely revisit the idea and see if it's worth taking it from a prototype to a full game :)
