Coin Jar Jamboree

Author Comments

Coin Jar Jamboree is a simple, relaxing game that allows players to count coins and watch them fall into the jar with a satisfying jingle.

To play, players can press the various coin buttons to spawn coins and watch them fall into the jar below. If players want to speed things up, they can hit the "make it rain" button to randomly spawn multiple coins.

For those who want to free the coins, there is a "smash the jar" button that allows players to scatter the coins.

The game can be easily reset to try again, and there is no greater goal than to enjoy a satisfying break from whatever else players may be doing.

This project may become a full fledge Penny Falls project in the future so if your interested let me know.

The game was developed by me Knight Ideas and features a music track by Lindsey Sewell - https://freesound.org/people/lindseysewell/sounds/512929/.

Players can find more games and content on Knight Ideas' website at www.knightideas.co.uk.

filled the jar and it got empty suddenly, very anticlimatic

Oddly satisfying. I'd love a version of this with different currencies to choose from.

Oh, COIN jar.....misread something there.

Quite nice for what it does!, A music mute button would have been nice, the 0.05 coin doesn't seem to make a sound when it hits the empty bottom, it would be nice with a little sound, jar breaking sound should probably be a bit more louder, and i think it would have been nice to hear a few different sounds when a coin drops on another coin.
If you click "make it rain" and than another coin, it seems to gray the image out, i assumed it means that it will only rain that coin, however that doesn't seem to be the case, what is the meaning behind it then? (graying the image out).
Overall it's quite nice, quite relaxing, although the music is a bit of a nuisance after a while.

KnightIdeas responds:

Thanks for the detailed response. It's the second ask for a mute or volume button so I'll try to include that soon. The jar breaking needs some work. I'll check on the 5p coin how dare it not make noise! Thank you for taking the time.

pretty cool but the graphics are kinda wonky and the jar looks weird

KnightIdeas responds:

I tried to keep the geometry low for the web version which might be the issue if you can see some squares on the jar. If that's not the issue please let me know. I know the backgrounds a little low res.
