When I was 14 I made a whimsical point and click adventure game called Aliens From Planet Dave. It was a mild internet sensation. I didn't pick up Flash again until I was 23, when I made this (intentionally) depressing follow-up and learned that 2014 internet was very different to 2005 internet - suffice to say, no one saw this or engaged with it. I didn't upload it to NG at the time because the file size limit was still too low.
I am now 32 and stumbled across the .swf in my sent box...
Uploading now for the peeps who have asked over the years for a follow up to Aliens From Planet Dave. Sorry, it's not as fun. And almost 10 years old at this point. Please don't Blam, friends.
This is fantastic. I'm sure you're already aware, but the internet is even more different than it was in 2014 when I graduated highschool. Flash is dead and gone (except for the wonderful people over at Flashpoint). Here I am, in my mid 20's, employed and living life, and this game resonates with me deeply.
You wanna know what hasn't changed too much about the internet? Newgrounds. Which is why I'm still here. Cheers LeoZ. I hope you find yourself content at this point in life, as we all deserve to.
