WARNING, NEWGROUNDS VERSION MAY HAVE MORE BUGS IN THIS ALREADY BUGGY GAME, I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE HD NG VERSION YET, LOL

Also this has no music, sorry.

Update: just played it

Possibly temporary loading screen.

https://bit.ly/3VvZoTz Source code, I think?

So basically, you find yourself in the middle of a moving maze and it happens to be pink. You look at yourself and find out you're also pink! Made for Ninjamuffin99's 3StarJam/MidJam 2022.

The time taken to make this probably took two/three to four hours, don't know, lost track.

Please rate this three stars, lol.

I made this in Scratch since I don't have HaxeFlixel on my Chromebook atm.

(Submitted a few hours late, but at least its out!)

How to play:

Use arrow keys to move

Press Z to enter dash-mode

"Don't touch the walls, don't die"

-Original page since I uploaded it onto Scratch before Newgrounds.

Bugs:

Text on bottom of screen doesn't get properly updated on game start (it shows what was there last)

Infinite dash mode (I didn't have enough time as is to fix it, and it was bothering me so much, so I made it last forever.)

Game camera is zoomed out somehow, don't know why.

Also, shoutouts to Cawthon. No reason as to why.

Okay I'll start off positive cause i don't want to be destructive. First of all i think it's really cool that you made this game in Scratch, you don't see that too often on Newgrounds so i think that's really cool! Also when playing the game i can at least kind of see what you where envisioning cause it's kind of like an arcade game almost and that's cool!

But now I'm going to give some criticisms for it. First of all i kind of figured out how to play the game after reading reviews of it, and the description. But initially when i got on i had no idea what i was doing. I was a bit confused when i realized you could move past the pink walls. i figured out why i could when reading the description but initially i thought i had instantly broken the game

It would've been nice if there was a tutorial mode explaining the gameplay, especially given how simple it is

If you expanded on this game it would've been cool if what you set up was an arcade mode, and there where levels in it with pre set pink walls, or maybe even boss fights some how. It would also be cool if maybe there where power ups. Like maybe there could be a power up that would heal you for a couple of seconds

If you ever make any more games in the future it might also be helpful if you had someone play test it, so that if they end up confused you can understand why and make improvement's that way

I'm also leaving these criticisms more so as different ideas for if you end up making more games in the future, cause i doubt you'd change much in this game

Plus i still think it's really cool that you made this, and I'd hope to see more in the future. Have a nice day or night

are the pink walls supposed to have collision because they dont

SIG7IvanPoopy responds:

Its not supposed to, nor are you supposed to touch them since they drain your HP.

it sometimes glitches and throws me inside of a wall
good game tho

might want to add a feature on how to manually increase the speed that your outside barriers move at, or consider that if the total speed that your moveable sprite can move left and right, up/down is .9 of the required distance that the sprite needs to move to get around a corner before the corner movement is required to stay alive, then the game becomes "challenging and engaging", currently I was sitting waiting for the maze to fall down more so that the sprite could move more upwards

SIG7IvanPoopy responds:

I'll think of your advice if I decide to update this, thanks!
