"The Doll" is a retro throwback to the 2000s gothic horror game genre that presents the story of the Simpson family in 1920s New York City - where the untimely demise of their young child brings unforeseen mystery. Enter the house and read Mrs. Emily Simpson's notes when she sought a strange method to bring her son back to life... using darker forces. Is he still alive? Play the game and find out.

The game was made with Clickteam's Fusion 2. Fusion 2 now allows multiple exports from one native source file to every platform in popular use - from Windows PC, HTML5, Android and IOS and MAC.

A stand alone gothic horror game in HTML5, something that was based on an old ActionScript game format from the good old days of Flash. A little time waster to have some fun with.

Besides the item glitch, this is a very fun game! very accurate to old games like that :)

ArcheonMedia responds:

Many thanks and glad you enjoyed it. Retro is the feel today!

I couldn't seem to put items back in my inventory. I kept getting stuck.

ArcheonMedia responds:

I'll check this. Thanks for letting me know.
**UPDATE**
If you pick the wrong item in inventory, RIGHT CLICK mouse on frame to return it to the Inventory bar and that clears the pointer. It works as it was programmed.
Thanks for playing. Try again!

This game is very reminiscent of old "spooky" Flash games, and that's a point for your project. But that's why it also fails for me: it has the quality of an old "spooky" point-and-click Flash game that you'd find on any website that conglomerates a bunch of Flash games, it even hits the mark with some honestly poor English. I still congratulate you for taking me to this trip down the memory lane.

ArcheonMedia responds:

Thanks for playing and for your review. I'm very happy that the old vibe of flash succeeded as intended. There will never be a time like the old days. Best.
