Don't get excited! This game is a piece of shit, but it was the first game I ever coded and so resides in a special place in the old ticker. It first appeared on one of the very first game jams (before they were even called that) back in 2006. https://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?714196&p=3774949#post3774949
Also, I'm just uploading it show that 'Flappy Birds' came after my original concept and to have something to link too when other game devs try to call me out on my 'claim'. TBH - the mashing buttons to flap higher originally came from a really fun 80's arcade game called Joust by Williams Electronics, but I like to think I was the first one to merge that concept with side-scrolling through an obstacle course. OK ok I'm not claiming Flappy Birds (which came out seven years later) was pinched from my crappy prototype as it's not exactly Da Vinci-esque in it's conception but post-game jam the game was actually picked up to be licensed and expanded on mobile at first- with an NDA signed and everything. That deal fell through due to team issues - but yea - it was noticed by the community at large that's for sure.
