uhm... can't get powerups when projectiles are over them. how hideously annoying.
also no upgrades shop etc. makes a shmup pointless.

Change different control options in the settings.
Each Powerup (P) will add to your attack. After 3 P, your attack type will change. Getting hurt will lower your Attack by 1. There are 3 attack types as you gain P: Blaster, Piercing, and Laser.
The Galatic Federation have been advancing through the Lylat System.
As Galactica, the secret-ops space infiltration unit, you must infiltrate the espar system and take out the league of command. But first you must past the Imperial Guard to access the warp-gate.
Good luck pilot, this may be the last time we will be able to turn the tables for this war.

The hitbox of the powerups are bigger than the projectiles and are slower than any projectiles.
That mechanic is inspired from Touhou 7, including the upgrade system.
It's good fun, but it can be difficult to tell enemies apart from their bullets when a lot is happening, and it's all too often nearly impossible to retrieve powerups without getting hit, which is unsatisfying.

Sick music
some of the sound effects (for ships blowing up) are kind of grating, and it would have been good to give you the ability to change settings without restarting the level (or at least turn the volume down).
other than that, gameplay is not bad, controls are good, no complaints. I didn't get very far but that's more likely a skill issue on my part :P
music loops are rather obvious though, making it loop more seamlessly would be good
