This game has a long load time, especially on slower internet connections.
This game surrounds two different eras, the beginning of the cold war, and the rise of the digital age. The footage used in this game was from a the 1950 short educational film named "Control Your Emotions". Saying anything more about the plot would spoil it, so please play through it.
This game started off as a school project for a computer science class. It was originally built in Scratch. Yes, Scratch. However, about half a year into the production of the game, I stopped, as the project's hundreds of costumes and numerous particle effects made the game borderline unplayable. The scratch engine could not handle it, and it was especially unresponsive in browsers. It remained dormant for about a year, until I discovered that a scratch game could be ported to HTML5. Using this, I added more lore and cutscenes, and remastered all of the old levels from late 2019. This simple little game has gone through so many changes in it's life. Is it a mess? Probably. Is it decent enough? Certainly.

Update 3/26/2024 - No changes were made to the game except for optimization. Gameplay and visuals are unchanged. I plan on remaking this game soon but felt the need to at least make this version somewhat playable. Some lag or visual glitches may still occur on low-end devices, as there was only so much I could fix.

Ah thank you. It should be noted though that those pretty effects were one of the biggest sources of lag, especially before I optimized it a few months ago.

And yeah, the levels are extremely unbalanced. I'm redoing most of them for the remake.
Game theory should make a theory on the hidden words.

A well-made and interesting game.
The style is cool, particles, level interactions, it's all very creative.
Unfortunately I got to a level I couldn't complete, my character kept dying at the start. I enjoyed what I played though.

Thank you for the kind and honest review. Sorry about the bug you found, the game was rushed to meet a deadline, and I unfortunately never went back and fixed the issues. I plan on remaking (and expanding) the game in a different engine anyway, which is mostly why I've been unmotivated to fix this version. But yeah, I’m glad you enjoyed the game, I really tried to get the atmosphere down on this one. Maybe we can collaborate sometime. Thanks again!
