Pretty cool, but I would probably change the color palette when night transitions into day.
Also, now that I think of it, as you grow longer, it becomes impossible to avoid sun rays, cause the worm's tail stays in one place for too long.

Made in some 5 hours (2 of which were used on writing a design doc and preparing for submission) for TriJam 164 (my first TriJam!).
The theme of the jam was: Day-Night Cycle.
This is a post-compo version with some fixes to the difficulty and to fonts.
