Accompany Jonathan into the mysterious depths of an abandoned laboratory in an attempt to figure out who...or what reduced the research facility to these conditions.

Secrets, new dimensions and, possibly, the end of the world as we know it.

The game offers exploration and puzzle solving dynamics, which will be more present in the finished game. The game takes place in a dark setting but not without a hint of humor (which I just couldn't do without, apparently).

I really hope you'll like it. I worked on it really hard. I'm not a game dev, nor a coder, but I like creating stories, and this was a fun way to tell one! I'll eventually work on finding a crew with the skills to deliver better products, but it will take time and (depending on my charisma) money to hire them! If you liked this experiment enough to help me doing better, you can support me on the game's Patreon! But if you can't, even rating the game can REALLY help me! Hope you guys have fun with it!

ATTENTION: The game may take a while to load. There's not much I can do about it. Also the in-game lighting isn't really the best. Unluckily that's what I have to work with and, believe me, it's annoying for me as well. I hope I'll be able to afford better equipment and programs in the future.

First of all: the game is not perfect. But I give the maximum score because 1) this is just a demo, 2) this is a demo made by a single non-professional person and also because 3) the problems don't spoil the game experience.

Let's talk about the demo:
- The first part of the tutorial is really original: using a scientific book style already puts you in the mood of the game.
- Gameplay is simple and clear, thanks also to the second part of the tutorial (also funny).
- Ambients are full of stuff, with a lot of interactions.
- The computer is really well done and funny to use.
- Music and sound effects are both well suited.

To sum up, this is really worth playing.

DrNefarius responds:

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! I'm really glad you appreciated it!

Game was a great idea; physical and mental health to look out for. Doors and objects didn't seem to completely work sometimes. With possibly updated graphics and a clean story, this could definitely become a big hit. I'm wondering if the computers could potentially do something to heal mental health in the next version as well (though the flashlight is very generous here).

I've also noticed there's a jump function, though there's nothing to do with it in the demo. Possible uses are platforming, dodging enemy attacks, or just get around hazards. I haven't had a lot to do with horror though, so I can't tell what exactly would fit best for here.

Edit on replay: If you stand in the room after getting the crowbar, the crowbar respawns. Twice before you game over (from insanity, if you don't turn on the flashlight). No idea why it's doing that, I only need one.

DrNefarius responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the graphics definitely need improvement. I'm looking for some help to improve it. The jump function is mostly useless at the moment, I'm thinking about removing it. The crowbar respawns cause I'm an idiot and didn't turn off the respawn time (which is automatically added by the program I use, but actually makes no sense). For what concerns doors and items, I'm aware they're not very efficent, but I'm afraid there's not much I can do at the moment. I'm looking for better programs to work with or even wondering if I should make this game into a Point and Click adventure. There are many ideas and never enough time and money to work on them ahah! I know the game isn't perfect, since it's my first "big" project, and I've worked on it alone, so thank you for your kind reply, I really appreciate it!

Nothing happens after white ellipse loading bar fills on Chrome :(

EDIT: tried it on Firefox as you suggested. It works fine :)

DrNefarius responds:

It is possible that Chrome is unable to load it, even though the first time I tried it worked. I'm very sorry about it... Please, try using Firefox!
