Description
You play as a person with a gun and a torch, but you cannot hold both of them at the same time. You have to switch between holding the gun and holding the torch. If you hold the gun, you can shoot enemies but you will have a small field of view. If you hold the torch, you will have a large field of view but you cannot shoot enemies. This game fits the theme because the torch joins the player with the ability to see and the gun breaks it. Good luck, gamers!

That was actually surprisingly fun, I liked the mechanic and I would totally play a longer version. I agree that the mechanic fits the theme, in a unique way to the way many others have used it and I certainly appreciate that. I do have to wonder, though, why I am killing all of these things, sure they hurt you when you touch them, but they don't seem especially aggressive or anything. I kind of feel like the bad guy in this, I went into someones building and just started shooting everyone.
Although, I can see evillouis's point about ammo, I think it would be difficult to implement. The enemies move pretty randomly and where I wasn't just spamming with bullets I did find that I often missed even right after switching, therefore i think it would be difficult to sort an appropriate total amount of ammo. Unless they are just referring to making you have to reload every so often, in which case it would kind of work, but would force time in gun mode without being able to shoot. I usually would try and get the enemies in a long straight (preferably narrow) hall and fire down it.
I did also notice that when you are next to a wall below you (I guess in this case to the south of you) your bullets always hit the wall instead. If you ever do choose to expand this you may want to fix that, but for these 5 levels it isn't too much of an issue to work around it.
Really fun game all in all! 5 stars, good luck int the jam!
Thanks for playing the game!
We will see how this game jam goes. If this game gets a good result, MAYBE we will continue expanding this game :D, and we will definitely consider your suggestions!
Cool game, one suggestion might be to add ammo because I ended up just spamming the fire in front of my movement to prevent dying
Thank you so much for playing the game!
Yea, we thought about ammo at the last hour before the jam ends, we don't want to stress ourselves up so we ended up not adding it :(
