In this particular short, we chose to depict these caverns as strange, spooky, and inhabited by a mysterious cult. The latter implies there may be a reason why most people don’t speak of those lava tubes, because no one ever lived to talk about them. From this mysterious cult using the sun’s rays to generate the essence of poor souls, mainly astronauts, into lava to keep their society prospering for as long as they need. In addition, they may also potentially take over the Earth after countless eons of watching over it with so little in return of progress. It may sound dark, but then again, in outer space, no one can hear you scream.
