A amazing concept done really well, that was a lot of fun.
A monster match 3 slayer!
Monsters have invaded the Castle and it has become your responsibility to slay them and rescue your villagers!
Battle for Castle Card is a match 3 turn based puzzle game that requires you to match your gear in order to use it in battle!
Match your cards to put your axe and sword to good use or dawn your shield to deflect a strike!
If you are injured in combat then be sure to drink your health potion but be wary of poison vials monsters may have laid about!
The villagers are counting on you hero, will you match 3 your weaponry and rescue them?

I'm so happy you liked it, thank you for taking the time to play and review :)
Interesting idea, pretty creative
Thanks for playing, friend
The concept is simple enough, and decently fun. However, a few problems keep it from being engaging for long:
- No new gameplay concepts are introduced as far as I can tell. The only things that really change are enemy health numbers. No new cards, status effects, interactions, etc. This makes the game go stale quickly.
- The randomization of the cards works in very predictable ways. I caught onto it very quickly, and it made the game trivial to figure out and do well in.
My point is that it's a fine concept that wasn't taken far enough. It's an ok game to just play for a bit though.
Thanks a lot for playing! We made this for GGJ21 and I'm proud of the result. Something about HTML5 works differently with randomization!
Edit: I've updated the randomization code, I think it works a lot better on HTML5 :)
