That was really cool and the interactive camera was really ambitious. Its a real shame that it didn't get finished, but I'm looking forward to the reboot.
[UPDATE 06/25/2023] After much fiddling, I got the full WIP SWF in a somewhat acceptable state, so I'm uploading it now. Some elements are either broken, missing, or non-functional, but that's the nature of a WIP, but at least this way, you can see what I was going for with the interactive camera. I don't plan on finishing the episode, but I am currently attempting a reboot, so be on the lookout for that.
[UPDATE 06/17/2023] And I'm having trouble with actionscript, so as of right now, the full WIP will hafta wait until I figure that out.
[UPDATE 06/11/2023] Since flash is now functional again, I feel better about posting the original WIP, so y'all can see how the camera was intended to be interactive, in it's original intent. As it's a WIP, there are some features, assets, and functions missing or non-functional. I don't have any intentions of completing the episode, but I am feeling a remake more and more as time goes on.
Here's what I had done with episode 4 of Sonic Reversal. I don't have plans of continuing the series, but a reboot isn't out of the question. Just don't expect anything of THAT for a while, as I have other projects I'd like to focus on before coming back to this.
The camera was intended to be interactive, but the only way I had to translate that to hard video was to record it multiple times.

I remember watching the series back in a day and being blown away by the choreography. Imagine my surprise when i saw this on my nostalgia trip!
I'm glad the core appeal is still there, but i also dig the new angle with switching perspectives. Looked like an interesting concept, although i can see the issues that could appear with this.
Either way i'll definitely keep tabs on the reboot, looks promising. Wish you luck with the project!
I like it!
Well. This is such a incomplete movie. Maybe the series might comeback with something to look forward to with a bang after its entirety of abandonment or not.
the 3 camera angles with metal sonic, shadow, and normal sonic in the marble garden fight scene don't really work considering the action is balanced exclusively around sonic always having something to do. since metal and shadow switch constantly, the moments in which they're not doing anything (i.e. when shadow dissapears and when metal just runs awkwardly) contrast really badly with the music.
maybe instead of having camera angles for literally everyone it would've been a better idea to have a sonic cam and a tails cam, since knux spends the entire scene standing around.
the second scene has a similar problem, albeit to a lesser extent. sonic's cam is the best since he seems to always be doing something, meanwhile the others are slower. sure, you don't get to see all the action through sonic-cam but it's still by far the best perspective to look at.
the whole camera idea was more of a "you can do this, but should you?" thing, atleast that's how i feel about it. the fights would've benefitted a lot more from just having one camera angle where you can control exactly how the pacing of the fight goes instead of having to balance 5 different angles for 5 different characters.
still, this is some great stuff. the marble garden fight is honestly better than some of the scenes in reversal 3, benefitting a lot from only needing to worry about 3 characters; the action itself feels really focused. it's really good shit.
overall, i just really wish this could've been a finished product. sonic reversal will always be in my heart, even if we'll never really know what you were going for with this story
