Gatomon Epic Training

Author Comments

Gatomon became my favoride digimon the moment she made her fighting apperance, fighting against a few champion digimon at once, all several times her size. Tiny, yet skilled and powerful. I was looking forward to more epic battles from the champion kitty, only to be utterly disapointed.

Gatomon was always in her champion form, yet she either digivolved to Angewoman, or did nothing, and in adventures 02 they nerfed her for no reason. Most people even think she's a rookie and no one draw her punching a giant digimon in the face.

This is why I made this epic training animation, to show what Gatomon is capable off and give her some epic screen-time. Gatomon may have been well-developed and cute character, but they never showed her as badass, so I am fixing that now.

Enjoy.

PS: Digimon 2020 give new spin on the show, so I have small hopes to see Gatomon have epic moments once again, but I fear she will just turn into Angewoman imidedly and do nothing in her champion form.

Gatomon was able to easily defeat Greymon before she met Kari. So she should be able to carry heavier things with one arm than Greymon can carry with one arm.

Strong legs

CommanderX responds:

To be fair, in the show when Gatomon made her first apperance, she easily jumped far above Greymon's height and kicked him and a few other digimon in the face, knocking them off balance.

So yeah, she has strong legs, even though most of this strength comes from her using an attack move.

The goal of day 57, 58, 59 of this training was to strenghten her legs as much as possible. Let's just say that after this, no flying digimon is safe from her kicks. Not to mention that some weaker champion digimon won't feel like standing up after receiving one.

i can literally feel the struggle

CommanderX responds:

That was the point. I focused a lot on making her struggle, as much as possible.

In order to get stronger, the hero of the story needs to struggle, so Gatomon got realy strong in the end.

If I decide to make ver.2, I will try to improve other areas.

That was kinda weird. The animation wasn't bad, but the whole thing was drawn out and repetitive. And that big boulder used in all the training....and the "ay" sound Gatomon makes while training through the whole thing...it was getting on my nerves after a while.

CommanderX responds:

My sound clips I could use for this animation are kind of limited, and my goal was to show as much struggle as possible that Gatomon had to face in this training.

I suppose I focused so much on her struggling that I drag out some parts for way too long.
As for the boulder, the goal of day 57,58,59 was to face varrious trials while carrying it, the final challenge of her training. (Also, there was a bit of experimentation involved).

I will try to expand on the animation and tone down on yelping noises, so if I will make ver.2, it will be shorter and have more variarity.

dude wtf pobrecita :c
edit: oh i didnĀ“t know "tailmon" was also named "gatomon" in the english dub, i thought you were a spanish speaker.
pobrecita means poor thing.

CommanderX responds:

Can you elaborate. I am not sure what you are trying to say.
