It took me so long to beat the game without anyone dying, but it was worth it. It's very frustrating that if you want a crew with good or even viable stats, you have to keep reseting until you have useful characters for both magic and strength. The RNG for character generation is very unbalanced.

There was one point where the game demanded two yellow-diffuculty urgent magic missions in a row, almost killing my spellcasters right at the beggining with nothing for me to do, so I definitely do agree that RNG can screw you over. Also agree that it can be hard to tell what some missions demand, such as the black gale hiding its passenger.

Still, the game has great charm and creativity, and it's hard to be too judgemental of it as a jam entry.

Really captivating.

I think the game could use a tad more polish and flare, but I can't hold it against it as a gamejam entry. The core idea, the balance and writing is really good and interesting, would love to see the same idea polished more!

That said, RNG can really screw you over, and the "must address" tasks are used too often, making your choice lesser. Sanity is basically useless and doesn't play a role, since all damage is converted to health it seems

I think it's really nice! I enjoy the colors and the minimalist perspective. It's just a little hard to grasp as none of the powers your crew have are ever really explained, or what things mean. Other than that a really cool game!

Can I just say, you have a gift for writing horror, depicting unknown nightmares and hammering home a hopeless situation. True to form, this game is incredibly hard to beat. Though part of that is that it's not entirely clear what skills are useful in what events.

Fun fact: When I beat this, it was in the same event that killed all of my remaining crew. Since the victory cutscene starts the same as the game over cutscene, I was genuinely tense and unsure if I won or not until the game said 'well done'. Probably not an intended experience, but a very memorable one none the less.
