This was a project I had made for an introductory video game class I took 5 years ago. I have been thinking about posting it for years and only now mustered up the nerve to do so. It's not up to the quality or completion I would have wanted, and I couldn't work on it since, but I hope that you enjoy it anyway.

(Hint: Disobey the sign)

12/12/2020 Description Update: I might not have been clear about what you could do in the game. You can destroy the sign with the wrench (the melee attack) to find another area. There you will find the final boss.

Also, I was aware of some issues before I posted: not starting at the Start Menu (you can click on Back for that), and the AI for the other 2 zombies being broken.

For now, I thought that I would just post the game as it was when I submitted it for grading (except for changes in credits - I had my real name in place of my username, and I did not give credit to Kevin MacLeod) and see how things went.

I hope that I can get back into game development at some point in the future, and I hope to make an expanded version of this game if I do.

I just noticed that the image for the boss is missing in the Help menu. I don't know how that happened. That was not how it originally was. I'll see what I can do about it.

It's a good start, but maybe a little buggy! Seems like one alien disappears when I hit it but the other just stays there... the controls work well but it's a bit unfortunate you have to get so close to the aliens too with that short-range a weapon. Seems it would've been more fun with projectile-based ones (the gun). Though it's not like they seem to shoot at you either way, as the description says they should? And the second one doesn't harm me even when I walk over it...

Controls might seem smoother if you don't stop walking on each new frame when you have an arrow button held down too.

Otherwise: it's a start! Would be cool if you keep building on this, or try something similar with the same engine. Just more enemies, longer levels, a bit more game material overall... keep it going!
